Moon: have you read plinko's page in the last few days?
Branden: yes, I have
Moon: i feel stupider for having done so
Branden: Ideas Happen, man
Moon: i feel like he has killed a small part of my soul
Moon: I told him so, and he laughed
Moon: that evil bitch
Branden: well, killing a man's soul is a decent accomplishment
Moon: not when its mine!

Cancelled school makes me as giddy as a school girl. Which is kinda weird, since no school would make me feel like a person who attends school, but whatever, I'm happy.
Yesterday, I read the book assigned in English class. I normally cheat on these things, and read spark notes or some other source. But we weren't assigned one of those "classic" types, that everyone has a study guide on. I just don't read normally. I don't have that "drive" most of the time.
So yesterday, confronted with the fact that I would, in fact, have to read this one to be ready for all the quizzes over the next couple weeks, started reading Mary Higgins Clark's 'Where are the Children?'.
I had nothing else better to do, so I ended up reading the whole thing. Not a bad mystery. Its the best mystery I've read in at least that last 4 years, but that's not saying much. I totally had a hunch earlier on who the main baddy was, though.
So yeah, what with the reading the book and starting kinda late on it, but I didn't have much sleep planned. I had my alarm set for 6:28 too, as opposed to the normal 6:59. I was gonna go in and do some make-up quizzes for English class, that I didn't take over my week of crap.
Speaking of make-up, I think I'm pretty much caught up in Physics now. I had a few worksheets, labs, and quizzes to get finished up, and I think its all done. Space Science, I still have a Moon Test to take, which I'm not really prepared for, but I have another week to take it.
So anyway, I didn't intend on getting that much sleep, then school was cancelled, and I got a lot. Ah, sleep, you enslave my soul, and I love thee for it.
Good day to all of you, even Pat.

So as I said, my illness was retreating. On Saturday, it was all but a cough here and there. I was doing good. Saturday Night, before Karl took me home, it felt like I had a little pressure in my right ear, I didn't pay it much attention.
Sunday morning, I woke up with both of my ears clogged with pressure. I couldn't hear so well. I also didn't feel so good. I went over to Adam and Ben's to watch Six Feet Under, and Ben cooked up some steak and baked potatoes. I ate about half my steak, but it was hardto do. I had a bad cough, and I just didn't feel well.
Monday I stayed home from school, hoping everything would get better. Spent most of the day coughing and hacking shit up.
Tuesday, I went to school. I didn't really feel any better, but tried anyway. First hour was study hall, and I sat there feeling like shit, for what seemed like forever. Second hour was gym, yay. We were playing basketball and volleyball, and luckily only about 6 people came to the volleyball side. I stood on our side and let Dan and Aly run around and get the ball, worked out well. Then Pat came in to the game, and I let him go in for me, while I sat down. Sweet sweet sitting was welcome after all that Non-Volleyball playing I was doing.
Third hour I had to sit through the play of Hamlet in English. Fourth hour I had study hall, so I went to the Nurse's Office. I figured I could at least rest laying down rather than sitting in the middle of the cafeteria. After the hour of laying down, it was lunch time for the Nurse, so she had to lock up the office and kick everyone out. Before I left she stopped me and checked my temp, I had a 102.8. She said I should see a doctor and then we arranged for me to go home. I told her I could get a ride home with Dan at our lunch time, which was in another hour. She sent me to wait in the media center rather than go to Physics class for 5th period, just in case I was contagious. I'm glad I didn't have to sit through a lecture about physics in my condition. Then I waited for Dan by the door when the bell was supposed to ring for lunch. He came out, and then the usual group of Dan, me, Charlie, and Scott got in his van. Dan didn't want to miss a spot in line at McDonald's, so I had to wait for them to eat before I went home. I still didn't really have an appetite. Then he got me home, and I slept. Afterwards, I made arrangements with my Great Aunt Judy to go to Aurora Medical Center the next day.
On Wednesday, I got up about 7:30. I had a horrible time sleeping, and ended up trying to sleep on the couch in the living room, it didn't end up much better. I showered, put on my Weezer T-shirt, and went with Judy to Aurora. I saw the doctor, and she told me I had a sinus infection, and prescribed some Antibiotics. The doctor wrote a note excusing me from school for the rest of the week. Judy took me shopping for some food, and went to the Pharmacy with me. I picked up my $103 bottle of pills, ($17 after got Insurance sorted out), and then went home. I finally ate something, took my pills, along with other medications we picked up, and then sat around, coughing and drizzling mucus outta my nose left and right.
Thursday, the cough was still really bad, but with regular food back in me, I was feeling better.
Friday, the sniffling died down, and felt fairly good. I asked Dan to go and pick up my homework from Student Services, because the Attendance lady requested I get it picked up. When Dan went to get it, there wasn't any, since none of my teachers sent up any work. Woo Hoo for me. Later on, I hung out with Adam a bit.
Saturday, the coughing toned down a lot. I started feeling closer to normal. I hung out with Adam some more.
Today, I went over and watched Six Feet Under with Ben, had a sub from SubWay, did some laundry, and now I'm back. My ears still have a lot of pressure build-up, and I'm having trouble hearing, but for the most part, I'm good.
Tomorrow, I'll go back to school, struggle to hear my teachers, and try and get caught up on the work I missed.
Fun Fun for me, so that's what I did this last week, how was your's?
